Pass Peace Forward..Host an AFS Exchange Student..

Are you able to host an exchange student for 12 weeks, a semester or full school year   Please consider sharing your lives with one the AFS students below who are planning to arrive in our community in mid-August.  Doing so could change the life of a young person and provide unforgettable memories for your family. We are actively seeking host families in your area where students have been hosted successfully in the past. These students need host families as soon as possible in order to arrive in mid-August for the start of school, otherwise they will arrive on September 8, 2nd arrival.

Meet the following AFS students and help us Pass Peace Forward today:

YuYang, 16, from China Yuyang is an honest and dependable young man. He values family and is a hard worker. Yuyang always has a smile on his face. Yuyang enjoys playing basketball, volunteering, and drawing. Yuyang wants to become either a fashion designer or an architect when he grows up.

Meet Salsabila, 17, from Indonesia.  She is a Scholarship student. She is into computer technology, but she would like to become a doctor or biologist. She really likes spending time in nature and interested in all living things. She enjoys playing video games, reading a good book, and listening to music. Salsabila also plays a traditional Indonesian instrument. At home, she is very close with her family. She is excited to experience life in America and broaden her global perspective.

Meet Daniel, 15 from Brazil, he is creative, academic, calm, and very talkative around his friends. He is an only child, which has led him to be more independent and helpful around the house. Family is very important to Daniel and his parents. He was born in Poland and half his family is still there, so he has gone back to visit them several times. Daniel has many hobbies: skiing, filming and editing videos, listening to music, building airplane models, drawing, and playing guitar. His favorite subjects in school are geometry and physics, and he hopes to become an aeronautical engineer in the future.

We have other students available who also need homes--so please contact us today! Contact Heidi Fadul: hfadul@afsusa.org
